Based on Barings’ performance over the preceding calendar year of the respective year of the award. The award recognizes the exceptional work done by third party asset managers and service providers on behalf of their insurance company clients across the Asia Pacific region.

Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group, a research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct a two-part survey process of employers and their employees. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. That part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The survey was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies.

The 2023 Private Debt Investor Global Award winners are determined by the readers of the PDI publication. The PDI global editorial team canvasses the views of colleagues and contacts in the market to find out which firms, funds and deals stood out from the crowd, then provides a shortlist of 4 managers for each category. Readers then cast votes for the winner.

The selected funds must be approved for sale in Taiwan for more than 1 year. The scoring is based on the short-term, medium-term and long-term performance and risks as of December 31, 2023. The performance and risk scores are added up, and the one with the lowest score is the winner.
