Barings Liquidity Investment Strategy (“BLIS” or "the Fund")

Capital Stability*

An actively managed portfolio of highly-rated, floating-rate securitised assets, which have shown capital stability historically.

Liquidity Management

Aims to provide unitholders with quick access to their capital, with withdrawal proceeds generally available within five business days.**

Higher Income Potential

Aims to distribute quarterly income above the potential returns available on traditional cash products.***

Simple

1

Daily Dealing

Daily transactions are generally available to clients without any lock-up or non-call periods.

2

Above Cash Return Potential*

A portfolio with a target return of 1.50% to 2.00% in excess of the RBA Overnight Cash Rate.

3

Quarterly Distributions***

The contractual nature of providing investors with a regular income stream.

Resilient

1

High Quality

BLIS’s investment portfolio has an average high-quality credit rating and does not invest in securities with a rating below A-. Maintaining exposure to highly-rated securities reduces the probability of capital impairment.

2

Floating Rate

The portfolio is primarily invested in floating-rate instruments#, which may substantially mitigate mark-to-market fluctuations from an ever-changing bond curve.

3

Secured Instruments

BLIS primarily invests in securities which have an explicit pool of ring-fenced assets, providing the requisite cashflows and a substantial level of collateral.

Consistent

1

Lower Volatility

The Fund is invested in assets which have a track record of exhibiting lower volatility compared to traditional fixed income portfolios as well as equities.

2

Specialised Expertise

The portfolio management team have an average of 30 years’ experience specialising in the securitised debt market, providing a competitive advantage relative to non-specialised investors.

3

Principle Repayment

This offers exposure to amortising securities, which regularly pay down principal and interest. All else being equal, this provides an ongoing enhancement of the credit quality of the securities, which have a smaller loan balance outstanding over the same underlying asset.
