Patrick O'Sullivan, PhD

Patrick O’Sullivan is Head of International Insurance Solutions, responsible for providing Barings’ insurance clients with a depth of technical expertise and support across insurance regulatory regimes to build long-term investment partnerships. He collaborates closely with the portfolio analytics team and other investment teams to ensure Barings is providing clients with efficient asset allocations across public and private markets. Patrick is also responsible for supporting clients on evolving regulatory requirements, reporting and other key industry issues. He joined the team in 2024 after six years with Schroders, where he was Head of Insurance Solutions. At Schroders, he built the Insurance Solutions framework working with clients globally. Prior to Schroders, he held positions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Bank of Ireland and was a Lecturer of Finance at the University of Southampton. He holds a BSc in financial & actuarial mathematics from Dublin City University and a PhD in financial economics from the University College Dublin.
